 Marco’s founder, Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco moved to the U.S.
from Italy with his family at age nine. The Giammarco family promptly opened a pizzeria in the U.S. As a young person
working in the family business, Pat became well schooled in the art of making authentic Italian pizza.
In 1978, Pat put this invaluable education to work, opening his first Marco’s Pizza store in Ohio. Staying true to the
family tradition of using fresh ingredients and a secret pizza sauce recipe that Pat developed and refined with
his father, Marco’s quickly found a loyal following. Today, Marco’s pizza is still made the same high
integrity authentic Italian way.
 Dough
Marco's still makes dough the time-honored, traditional way, fresh from scratch every day in every store.
Sauce
Our sauce is made from vine-ripened tomatoes just hours after picking. Then we add a signature blend of herbs and
spices right in the store.
Cheese
We use a blend of three fresh cheeses, never frozen. Our cheese is at the heart of our authentic, fresh taste.
